EDUCATION AND TRYING CASES IN THE NAVY

In 1964, Mr. Steinglass went to Harvard Law School, graduating cum laude (with honors) in 1967. Between college and law school, Mr. Steinglass served for two years on the aircraft carrier (USS Coral Sea, 1962-64). In addition to his duties as an officer in the Weapons Department, he tried cases as a prosecutor and as a defense lawyer (non-lawyers were permitted to try court-martial cases where the maximum jail time was six months or less).

Mr. Steinglass graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences in 1962.

He graduated from the Bronx High School of Science in New York City in 1958.
